Answer-level citation lists
Review the exact URL, normalized domain, and available page title beside the prompt and generated response that returned it.
Capture the URLs returned with web-search answers, aggregate the domains, and see which sources appear when your brand—or a competitor—makes the shortlist.
The source view covers citations returned by supported OpenAI and Anthropic API answers in your project. It is not a web-wide backlink or citation index.

What this page covers
From visibility gap to source gap
Knowing that a competitor was recommended is useful but incomplete. The next question is what information the answer surfaced alongside that recommendation. Web-search citations can point to comparison pages, review sites, trade publications, original research, or the brands' own pages that repeatedly enter the retrieval path.
SEO Address stores returned citation URLs with each answer and rolls them up by domain. The source table shows overall citation frequency and how often a domain appeared in an answer that also mentioned your brand. In weekly gaps, external cited domains become concrete places to research for content patterns, editorial coverage, or outreach relevance.
How it works
Source tracking begins with monitored buyer questions, so every domain has a prompt and response context—not just a count.
SEO Address sends enabled questions to the supported OpenAI and Anthropic APIs with their web-search tools available, then records the returned response.
Output: A generated answer with provider-returned source annotations
Store the citation URL, page title when supplied, and normalized domain. Duplicate URLs inside one provider response are ignored.
Output: A clean citation list attached to the answer
Count citations by domain and record whether each citation occurred in an answer that mentioned your brand. Your own and configured competitor domains are labeled separately.
Output: A ranked source-domain view with mention context
When competitors appear on a topic and your brand does not, the weekly report collects the external domains cited across those answers as potential publishing or placement targets.
Output: A source-backed research and outreach queue
Source intelligence
The source table is designed to help prioritize manual investigation, not to pretend every citation has the same value.
Review the exact URL, normalized domain, and available page title beside the prompt and generated response that returned it.
Sort recurring domains by the number of times they were cited across all successfully recorded answers in the project.
See how often each domain appeared in an answer where your brand was mentioned, without claiming that the source caused the mention.
Distinguish your domain, configured competitor domains, and external domains that may warrant content or outreach research.
Collect external domains from topic answers where competitors were recommended and your brand was absent.
Open a listed domain for manual evaluation of relevance, content format, editorial standards, and realistic ways to contribute.
What a source row means
Every row is built from citation annotations stored with your monitored answers.
Co-occurrence is not attribution. A cited page may support another part of the answer, and some providers may omit citations for material they used.
Normalized cited hostname
For example, www prefixes are removed before aggregation
Citation occurrences
Counts appearances across the answers saved to the project
Co-occurrence count
Answers where the domain was cited and your brand was also detected

Ways to use the source map
01
Review recurring source pages to understand which formats, comparisons, evidence, and definitions are being retrieved for your topics.
02
Investigate whether an external publication accepts expert input, data, or contributed insight before adding it to an outreach plan.
03
See whether your own domain appears among returned sources and compare that pattern with answers that do or do not mention the brand.
The page reports what the supported providers return for your monitored prompts. It does not expose every source a model knows or uses.
